At Eni, we are looking for a Completion Engineer within Groupement Sonatrach Eni in Algeria. You will participate in the planning, design and execution of well completion operations in alignment with company procedures and industry best practices, ensuring compliance with HSE standards, contractual obligations and project timelines.


Your employment contract will be managed by Eni International Resources Ltd (EIRL).

Main Responsibilities


  1. Participate in the preparation and validation of the well completion programme.
  2. Estimate completion costs and prepare material and service requirements.
  3. Define completion design, equipment specifications and operational sequences.
  4. Supervise the installation of completion assemblies and tools.
  5. Ensure wellbore integrity and readiness prior to completion operations.
  6. Analyse offset well data to optimise completion efficiency and performance.
  7. Implement best practices to reduce Non-Productive Time (NPT) and improve operational efficiency.
  8. Collaborate with drilling, reservoir and production teams for seamless integration of completion designs.
  9. Monitor and evaluate completion performance, proposing improvements where necessary.
  10. Ensure the proper use and management of materials and equipment.
  11. Prepare and validate completion end-of-well reports and lessons learned.
  12. Optimise completion operations while ensuring adherence to safety, environmental and quality standards.
  13. Carry out any additional tasks assigned by the hierarchy related to the activities of the department.


HSE Responsibilities


  1. Conduct business in a healthy and safe operating environment.
  2. Comply with the GSA's HSE policy and ensure its implementation in activities within their competence and authority.
  3. Ensure that team members are adequately trained in HSE matters by reporting any training needs, in accordance with HSE IMS procedures (particularly the one on HSE training).
  4. Report any anomaly, incident, accident, or HSE non-compliance to their superiors.
  5. Propose suggestions to their superiors for improving the HSE approach.


Skills And Experience Required


  1. University degree (Bac+5) in Petroleum, Drilling, or Completion Engineering.
  2. Specialised training in well completion or production technology (preferred).
  3. Relevant experience in completion or related well engineering roles.
  4. Fluency in English; French is desirable.
  5. Strong command of HSE standards and procedures.
  6. Proficiency in computer tools.
  7. Ability to analyse, synthesise, and be proactive.
  8. Initiative and ability to anticipate.
