Geosolutions Geophysicist

We are seeking a talented Geophysicist to join our exploration and subsurface team in Algiers. The successful candidate will contribute to seismic data acquisition, interpretation, and analysis to support exploration, development, and production projects.

Responsibilities:

1. Interface consistently with customers, providing advice on processing parameters and best practices.
2. Process seismic and geophysical data using appropriate technologies and software tools.
3. Ensure timely delivery of processed data to customers according to project schedules.
4. Define, build, and submit test jobs; interpret results, provide parameter recommendations, and suggest further testing if required.
5. Validate the accuracy and efficiency of all testing and production job sequences.
6. Stay up-to-date with advancements in seismic data processing, communication, and data transfer techniques.
7. Investigate and report problems encountered during seismic data processing.
8. Mentor and guide junior staff to enhance team capabilities.
9. Assist the Project Leader with daily project and personnel management, including velocity picking and quality control; organize and delegate work effectively.
10. Forecast resource requirements, track project status, and report progress.
11. Archive projects and maintain proper documentation for future reference.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geophysics, Earth Sciences, or related field.
2. Experience in geophysical data acquisition, processing, and interpretation.
3. Proficiency with geophysical software such as Petrel, Kingdom, or OpendTect.
4. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
5. Knowledge of reservoir characterization and seismic interpretation is a plus.
6. Willingness to travel to field locations within Algeria as required.
