At Eni, we are looking for a Drilling Engineer within Groupement Sonatrach Eni in Algeria. You will contribute to the execution of the drilling programme in accordance with company procedures and ensure compliance with contractual clauses, including quality standards and completion deadlines.

Your employment contract will be managed by Eni International Resources Ltd (EIRL).

Main responsibilities:

1. Estimate drilling costs and timelines.
2. Define technical specifications for each drilling phase.
3. Determine hydraulic and mechanical parameters to optimise work progress.
4. Review technical drilling records and implement necessary improvements.
5. Outline the various phases of well drilling.
6. Conduct tests during drilling operations.
7. Study the optimisation of drilling parameters, considering statistics from previously completed wells.
8. Carry out any other tasks assigned by their manager, related to the structure’s activities.
9. Optimise well completion time while adhering to safety regulations.
10. Optimise the use of equipment and materials in well construction.

Skills and experience required:

1. University degree (Bac+5) in drilling or production engineering.
2. Relevant work experience in the sector.
3. Strong command of HSE standards and procedures.
4. Proficiency in computer tools.
5. Ability to analyse, synthesise and take initiative.
6. Proactive mindset and capacity for anticipation.
7. Fluency in English; French is desirable.
